 Linda Flanders and her sister, Dorothy Halla-Poe formed Taproot, Inc. in 1997. They use today’s digital technology to harness the power of pop culture; using them as pro-active learning and teaching tools for today’s rapidly changing way of life. They create researched scripts for communities to use, celebrating local talent while addressing important social issues.
Taproot’s mission is to enhance education through the pro-active use of the media arts: by promoting the development of local talent, dramatically increasing student’s technological skills and giving communities a cost-effective cutting edge way to understand and resolve global issues on a local level.
