A Crime of Violence: Understanding Sexual Assault
(22 minutes)
|
$99
Includes exhibition rights and discussion questions
Sexual assault is any sexual activity that one is forced, coerced or manipulated to participate in. At its core, it is an act of power and control. Unfortunately, sexual assaults are most often committed by people we know and trust. Most sexual assaults go unreported, and tragically, it is dating age young people, age 16-24, who are most at-risk. Without understanding and working through the dynamics of sexual assault, victims often suffer from the lingering effects of guilt, betrayal, shame and self-blame.
